In June 2005, The Sound of Music finally arrived home in the city where the movie was filmed in 1965.
There was a special gala performance of Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music at the Mozart Kino in Salzburg in June 2005. The spectacular event, which is featured on the new DVD release of the movie, was hosted jointly by Tom Urie and Charmian Carr, who is world famous for playing Liesl.
Following this special event, there may be future performances of Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music in Austria - watch this space for news.
