| When is a Singalonga show playing at
my home town?
All current dates can be found on this website. The
tour lists are updated regularly and if you can’t find
the town you’re looking for, there isn’t
one coming to you in the near future. The basic rule
is IF IT’S NOT ON THE WEBSITE, IT’S NOT HAPPENING.
When can I book?
Each date in the tour list has a "Booking Opens" date
beside. You can call the box office and book from then
onwards. If it says "Booking opens soon",
we don't yet have a confirmed date but this will be
updated as soon as we get the information. Where venues
do online booking, a link is provided so that you can
book immediately.
When are you going to do Sing-a-long-a Grease?
This is probably the question we get asked more than
any other. We have been trying to get the rights
to do Grease for over 3 years now. So far, we have
been allowed to do 2 performances of the show in
London (during 2002), but so far no more. We will
continue to pursue this, because we know that almost
everyone in the country wants this show more than
any other. So, hang in there – we hope it will
happen one day!!!!!!
I’ve seen somewhere that you do Sing-a-long-a
Moulin Rouge, Annie, Fiddler on the Roof etc. When
and where are they on?
Again, if it’s not on the website, it’s
not happening. We have done short runs or one-off showings
of the above shows but for the time-being they are
not being added to the regular repertoire. This isn’t
because they weren’t good shows – each
of them worked very well – but they are not of
wide enough appeal to warrant tours or longer runs.
At this stage, they are unlikely to be repeated but,
once again, keep an eye on the website for future developments,
as this may change.
Are there any tickets available for the show at ______
on ______?
You need to call the theatre box office to check availability
and to book your tickets. Box Office numbers are given
beside each date.
Are Singalonga shows suitable for children or my granny?
Some of the shows are more suitable than others. Sing-a-long-a
Joseph and Sing-a-long Wizard of Oz are very suitable
for all ages and many younger children have enjoyed
them. It should be noted that, especially at evening
shows, audiences can get a little rowdy and we would
generally recommend you stick to matinees. When there
are children in the audience, we try to pitch the
show at them as much as the adults but when it’s
all grown-ups, anything can happen (granny be warned).
How can I keep up-to-date with what’s
happening at Singalonga?
Join our mailing list at this website for regular emails.
Add www.singalonga.net to your “favourites” and
check it everyday or even make it your homepage * (so
that it loads every time you log-on to the internet).
* Go to Tools, then Internet Options and type www.singalonga.net
into the Home Page Address box
So, what’s it all about, this singalonga
business?
Well, if you’ve got this far without knowing,
all you have to do is click on “history” (for
an overview) or “about
the show” in each
individual show page to find out what all the fuss
is about.
